Time and Tide Bell

A national arts project connecting us to the coastline of Britain
Rung by the high tide, Time and Tide Bells are positioned around the coast of Britain, sounded by the waves. Each bell has been installed by the local community, to create, celebrate, and reinforce connections; between different parts of the country, between the land and the sea, between ourselves and our environment.
Each bell captures unique stories about its community
Five have been installed
Appledore (Devon)
Trinity Buoy Wharf (London)
Aberdyfi (Gwynedd)
Cemaes Bay (Anglesey)
Bosta (Isle of Lewis)
More are under development
Morecambe Bay (Lancashire)
Mablethorpe (Lincolnshire)
Happisburgh (Norfolk)
Brixham (Devon)
And we want to install more
